The phone, which used Google's Android operating system and has a fixed price of 499 euros ($678), will be launched in December in Russia and Germany in stores and online in France, Spain and Austria.
The device "rethinks our relation to smartphones," said YotaPhone's general director, Vlad Martynov, who unveiled the smartphone in a contemporary art gallery in Moscow.
As well as the full-colour touch screen standard on all smartphones, the YotaPhone has a black-and-white screen on its back using the same electronic ink technology as on reading devices such as Amazon's Kindle.
This extra, low-energy screen remains on all the time, even when the phone is switched off, allowing the user to check the time, messages, a schedule or a map without having to "wake up" the unit, limiting battery drain.
Following the December launch, the phone will go on sale in some other European countries, including Britain and Switzerland, and in the Middle East, including in Egypt.
The makers said they have no current plans to offer the phone in Asia or the United States.

Medical radioactive material truck 'stolen in Mexico'

Mexico told the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that the truck was carrying a "dangerous radioactive source" used for cancer treatments when it was stolen on Monday.
The radiotherapy source was being taken from a hospital in the northern city of Tijuana to a waste storage centre.
It was stolen near the capital, Mexico City.

Mexico's Nuclear Security Commission said that at the time of the theft, the cobalt-60 teletherapy source was "properly shielded".
But the commission warned it could be "extremely dangerous to a person if removed from the shielding, or if it was damaged".
Local media reported that the truck, a 2.5-tonne Volkswagen Worker, was stolen by armed men at a petrol station in Tepojaco, on the outskirts of Mexico City on Monday morning.

BBC world affairs correspondent Rajesh Mirchandani says Cobalt-60 could theoretically be used in a so-called "dirty bomb" - an explosive device that could spread radioactive material over a wide area - although there is no official suggestion this was the purpose of the theft.
Mexican police are currently conducting a search for the truck and its contents and have issued a press release to alert the public to its potential dangers.
Experts have long warned about the danger posed by radioactive material used for medical treatments and research in hospitals.
The IAEA did not give details on how much radioactive material was in the vehicle when it was seized, but offered to assist Mexican authorities.
"At the time the truck was stolen, the [radioactive] source was properly shielded. However, the source could be extremely dangerous to a person if removed from the shielding, or if it was damaged," the IAEA statement said.
More than 100 incidents of thefts and other unauthorised activities involving nuclear and radioactive material are reported to the IAEA each year.

2 million Facebook, Gmail and Twitter passwords stolen in massive hack

Hackers have stolen usernames and passwords for nearly two million accounts at Facebook, Google, Twitter, Yahoo and others, according to a report released this week.

The massive data breach was a result of keylogging software maliciously installed on an untold number of computers around the world, researchers at cybersecurity firm Trustwave said. The virus was capturing log-in credentials for key websites over the past month and sending those usernames and passwords to a server controlled by the hackers.

On Nov. 24, Trustwave researchers tracked that server, located in the Netherlands. They discovered compromised credentials for more than 93,000 websites, including:

• 318,000 Facebook (FB, Fortune 500) accounts
• 70,000 Gmail, Google+ and YouTube accounts
• 60,000 Yahoo (YHOO, Fortune 500) accounts
• 22,000 Twitter (TWTR) accounts
• 9,000 Odnoklassniki accounts (a Russian social network)
• 8,000 ADP (ADP, Fortune 500) accounts (ADP says it counted 2,400)
• 8,000 LinkedIn (LNKD)accounts

Trustwave notified these companies of the breach. They posted their findings publicly on Tuesday.
"We don't have evidence they logged into these accounts, but they probably did," said John Miller, a security research manager at Trustwave.

Big questions in Walker crash probe

Four days after the crash that killed actor Paul Walker and his friend and financial manager Roger Rodas, big questions remain unanswered, including:

Did anything go wrong with the vehicle?

The Porsche Carrera GT the two men were in has three times the horsepower of the average car. It's powered by a V-10, 610-horsepower engine. At $450,000 new, it flies down the road and is notoriously difficult to handle.

A top driver has called the car "scary," Autoweek magazine reported.

Rodas was the sixth owner of this one, the magazine said.

Rodas was driving Saturday, according to autopsy results released Wednesday by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Authorities say speed was a factor in the crash. Still, Walker and Rodas were both experienced drivers, leading many to question whether something went wrong with the vehicle.

Jim Torp, a car enthusiast who was at the charity event where Rodas and Walker had been just before the crash, said he thought he heard some kind of blast before the car slammed into a light pole. "What the first explosion was -- I don't know if their tire blew up, because it sounded like a tire blew on the car," Torp told CNN on Monday.

How fast were they going?

The area where the crash took place -- a wide business park road in Valencia, California -- has a reputation for being popular with drivers who like the thrill of going fast. In recent years, authorities have tried to stop the speeding in the area.

A 45-mph speed limit sign was on the light pole knocked down by the Porsche. A security camera video, which does not show the car itself, suggests that black smoke started to rise from the vehicle about a minute after the light pole and tree fell.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigation is focused on how fast the 2005 vehicle was going.

Skid marks on the asphalt near the crash site, which indicate a car had done doughnut spins, also are being examined, but Torp told CNN that he looked closely at the skid marks and believes they were left by a car with smaller tires.

Was anyone else in danger?

Amid the outpouring of grief for the deaths of Walker and Rodas, many people are also asking whether the ride had endangered pedestrians or other drivers. It took place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Online stories about the crash are filled with comments from readers saying it's fortunate that no one else was killed or injured.

In 2001, when the first "Fast & Furious" movie was released, Walker talked about the dangers of drag racing. "Nothing would be worse than a 120-mile-an-hour blowout, on a surface street, you know, with pedestrians lining up and down. You know, it's just common sense, it's just not worth the risk factor," he said.

Authorities have ruled out drag racing in this accident, and those who knew Walker and Rodas say they were not the sort of people who would risk their lives and others' in a race.

For the next few weeks UPS, FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service will be working overtime to make sure you get your holiday gifts on time, but if Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos gets his way, in the future, it might be delivery drones working those extra hours.

In an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes" on Sunday evening, Bezos unveiled Amazon Prime Air, a service that delivers packages via autonomous drones. With the service, Bezos said he hopes that the company will be able to deliver packages into customers hands within 30 minutes of the time they place an order. The package is pulled off the lines by the octocopter, and then using GPS it is directed to the delivery address. When it arrives it releases the package on the doorstep. Because the octocopter has eight blades, Bezos said, if one broke the drone would still be able to safely drop off a package. As many have remarked, it looks like something out of the Jetsons.

U.S. Man Cited After Tossing Cash at Mall of America

A 29-year-old Minnesota man who says he was trying to spread holiday cheer by tossing 1,000 dollar bills over an upper floor railing at the Mall of America has been cited for disorderly conduct.

Serge Vorobyov, of Apple Valley, admitted throwing his "last $1,000" from the fourth floor on Friday as a choir performed "Let it Snow." Vorobyov said he also kept tossing cash as he continued down the escalator.

Vorobyov said he's going through a divorce, lost his car hauling business and hoped the positivity of throwing the money would come back to him.

"I wanted to do some sort of pay it forward kind of thing," Vorobyov said Sunday.

He invited his estranged wife to try to win her back but she didn't show up, he said.

Instead, Vorobyov was cited by Bloomington police and released at the scene. He also was ordered not to go into the mall for a year.

Vorobyov had stamped the bills with his YouTube address and on his Facebook page he called the event a publicity stunt. When asked why he wanted the publicity, he said he wanted his cat back from his estranged wife.

Mall of America spokeswoman Sarah Schmidt said it's the first time anyone has ever done something like that in the mall. She said Vorobyov disrupted the performance and could've caused a serious situation.

In 2010, Walker got to live out a life-long dream for National Geographic’s “Expedition Great White,” where he spent days as part of a crew catching and tagging Great White sharks off the coast of Mexico.
“The sea is just a big mystery,” he told fabela iMag during interviews for “Fast & Furious Five.” “There are things that are more alien in the ocean than I think are alien in space. It seems like every other day, there’s a new discovery. You look at it and you’re like, ‘Really!’ … Things that are so bizarre … it’s mind blowing.”
A Look Back at Paul Walker’s Most Memorable Movie Roles
It was this enthusiasm that brought Walker back this past July to join Discovery’s Shark Week for an August special, “Spawn of Jaws,” that looked at the life cycle of Great Whites.
Aside from his passion for the ocean and it’s mysterious creatures, Walker was father to a 15-year-old daughter Meadow from a past relationship with Rebecca McBrain.

Off the set, Walker consistently used his celebrity to help others in times of crisis. At the time of his death on Saturday, he was taking part in a charity event for his nonprofit group Reach Out Worldwide, which was trying to help those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines.
In early 2010, Walker visited Chile after a magnitude 8.8 earthquake struck the area, triggering a tsunami and ravaging the country.
“You know, I have a lot of friends that surf and travel down here in Chile,” he told a local Chile TV station of why he decided to come and help. “They told me and said, ‘Man, it’s going to be bad.’ The thing’s that incredible to me, is the morale [down here], the spirit. It’s strong!”
Only months later, Walker and his organization traveled to Haiti to help build shelters and provide medical help for those struck by their own earthquake. IV bags, tubing and other supplies were brought to orphanages and refugee camps in support.
For why Walker started this organization, Reach Out Worldwide’s website says, “While part of a relief team responding to the massive earthquakes that devastated Haiti on January 12, 2010; Actor/Producer Paul Walker saw a gap between the availability of skilled resources and the requirement for such personnel in post-disaster situations. Following the trip he contacted a group of his friends to assist him in forming ROWW with the purpose of filling this unmet need.”

'Fast and Furious' actor Paul Walker dead at 40 in car crash

Friends of the star said they 'went through fire extinguishers' in a futile bid to fight the blaze that engulfed the car after the crash.

LOS ANGELES: Paul Walker, one of the stars of the popular “Fast and Furious” fast-car action movies, has died in an auto crash Saturday afternoon. His publicists  have confirmed the news on his social media accounts.
“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,” read the posting on the actor’s Facebook account.
“He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives.”
The publicists, who described themselves as Team PW, wrote that they were “stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.”
A similar message was posted on Twitter.
Walker, 40, was best known for his role as undercover agent Brian O’Connor in the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise.
He appeared in all but one of the six movies in the series, and was one of the leading protagonists along with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.
Universal Pictures also issued a statement, saying studio staff were “heartbroken” by Walker’s death.
“Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.
“We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family.”
Walker died when the Porsche GT he was a passenger in lost control, slammed into a pole and caught fire, reported dailymail.co.uk. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department said the crash happened in the community of Valencia.
At the time of his death, Walker, who also starred in “Pleasantville” and “Varsity Blues,” was filming the seventh Fast & Furious movie with Vin Diesel. Just yesterday, he tweeted the following message to his followers.

Hollywood stars have paid tribute to the actor, including rapper and actor Ludacris, who tweeted his shock and sadness at his Fast and Furious co-star’s untimely death.
Alongside a touching picture of the film’s cast holding hands, he wrote: ‘Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark.
‘We were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P.’

Walker is survived by a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, who had recently moved to California from Hawaii so the two could be closer.
